The Local 110 Training Department offers member services for every stage of their careers by coordinating, delivering, and maintaining high‑quality training that meets industry, regulatory, and union standards.
What We Do
Apprenticeship & Member Training
We support apprentices and journeypersons through required and optional training, ensuring members have access to the skills and certifications needed to work safely, competently, and confidently in the trade.
Training Coordination & Scheduling
The Training Department offers Eligible Local 110 Members in‑house Fall Protection, Confined Space and Mobile Elevating Work Platform certification recognized across the province. We book external courses, manages training schedules, and work with approved providers to ensure members can access required certifications and upgrades.
Certification & Records Management
We maintain member training records and certifications, helping ensure compliance with site, contractor, and regulatory requirements.
Pre‑Trades & Outreach Support
The department supports pre‑trades initiatives and outreach efforts that promote careers in the insulation trade, helping develop future members and strengthen the industry.
Member Support & Guidance
Members can access assistance with exam preparation, upgrading skills, refresher training, and navigating training requirements throughout their careers.
Safety & Professional Standards
Training includes a strong focus on safety, professionalism, and industry best practices to support a safe, skilled, and work-ready workforce.

The Training Centre is located at the Local 110 office main floor.
