Pat is predeceased by his brother Kenny.
Pat was longtime advocate and friend for the membership of the Union, he will be very much missed.

David Allan Campbell (aka Dave, DAC) passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on March 26, 2017, just shy of his 56th birthday. Dave passed away peacefully and in his sleep. Proud member of the 110 since December, 1989, the family knows the importance of his union brothers and sisters to him, along with his colleagues, peers and friends. We would be honoured by your attendance at a celebration of his life on Friday November 3, 2017 at the Polish Hall, 10960 104 Street NW in Edmonton, from 4-7 pm. Local 110 is sad to announce that long time Member, John Vandemeer, passed away on October 25, 2016. Brother John had been a Member of Local 110 since 1984. He last worked for Aecon at Northwest Redwater.
A memorial service will be held Monday, October 31, 2016 at 3:00pm at Trinity Christian Reformed Church located in Edmonton at 13427 57st.

Local 110 is sad to announce that long time Business Agent Tom Chapple has passed away peacefully at the Foothills hospital in Calgary. He became a member of Local 126 in 1969 and Business Manager there in 1980 through 1984 when the Local merged with Local 110 and he continued on as a Business Agent until he retired in 2011. As a long time advocate and friend for the membership of the Union, he will be very much missed. Even as a retiree the past few years, he continued to make a difference as a trustee on the union’s pension plan right up to the time of his passing. Our heartfelt condolences to his family. Bill Spring Sr., a long-time Journeyman member of Local 110 passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the Grey Nuns hospital in Edmonton where he was admitted recently following complications related to a number of compounding health issues the past several years. He had retired from work in 1994 at age 65 and has been residing at Abee, Alberta until his passing. Information about the funeral will be provided to the Union once arrangements have been made.

Gerry was a long term Member. An avid outdoorsman, who loved camping & fishing. He was known as quite the Handyman and “Jack of all trades”.

Local 110 is sad to announce the passing of Brother Mark S. Thompson
Brother Mark passed away Wednesday November 5th, 2014. Mark was a member since 09/02/1993 and as all the members can tell you he was a great guy to work with and spend time with off the job. Mark had a sharp wit and was always ready for some joking banter among friends. His family communicates that he passed on peacefully after a valiant battle with cancer. All the Officers and staff at Local 110 pass on their heart felt condolences to the family and friends.
Cremation has taken place and Internment in the Fort Saskatchewan cemetery will be a private family function. The family wishes to thank everyone who cared for Mark as well as his amazing friends.

Brother Alex passed away Sunday, October 19th, 2014 At the age of 65. Brother Alex transferred into Local 110 in November of 2001 from Local 118. His experience and great sense of humour made Alex a delight to work with. He will be sadly missed by Insulators all over Canada and the US.

Sister Jasmine Krupinski passed away Friday, October 10th, 2014, while battling Breast Cancer, at the age of 33.
Jasmine became a Member of Local 110 in May of 2010, for those members who were fortunate enough to work with Jasmine or play softball with her we will always remember her smile and her great attitude no matter what she faced.
The funeral is being held Wednesday, October 15th at St. James Roman Catholic Church, #208 – 5th Avenue in Manning, Alberta at 2:00pm.

Brother Rolland Saindon passed away Friday, August 29th, 2014 from natural causes. He had a heart of gold and was loved by those who knew him. His dry sense of humour will be missed by all. Local 110 was notified today that Local 110 Journeyman member Scott Jack passed away yesterday, June 24th at the age of 45. Brother Scott joined our Local in 1991 and most recently worked for Transfield at Suncor. Anyone who worked with Scott will remember his dedication, determination and his infectious laughter.

Local 110 is sad to announce Brother Jose (Joe) Silva passed away
Local 110 just learned Jose (Joe) Silva passed away Wednesday, June 11th at the age of 67. Brother Joe, a long-time member of our Local and a past trustee of our Pension Plan, joined Local 110 in 1981. After completing his last job through Local 110 with Jacobs (then Delta Catalytic) at Shell Scotford in May 2001, Joe took a withdrawal card and received his 30 year pin in 2012. I’m sure many of you enjoyed working with Joe over the years as he shared his knowledge of and love for our trade. He was a valued member and will be missed.
A celebration of Joe’s life will take place at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Howard & McBride Westlawn Chapel, 16310 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton. Visitation will take place at 9:00 am.

Local 110 is sad to announce Brother Dennis Sutton passed away
Local 110 is sad to announce Dennis Sutton passed away last night at the age of 66. Brother Dennis, a long-time member of our International, joined Local 110 in 1967, transferred to Local 69 and transferred back to Local 110 in 2009. After completing his last job through Local 110 with Jacobs at Albian Sands/Muskeg River in November 2013, Dennis returned to his residence in Arizona. I’m sure many of you enjoyed working with Dennis over the years, whether he was here as a traveler or as a proud member of Local 110. He had a way of making everyone feel special and unique.
We have no details on funeral arrangements at this time and will provide those if the family wishes to make them public.

Local 110 is sad to announce the passing of Brother John Maxwell
Local 110 was just informed Brother John of Port Moody, B.C., passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the age of 68. John transferred into Local 110 from Local 118 in January of 2005. He worked with several contractors and his last job was with Transfield at Suncor. John was very witty, generous with his time and energy, a highly respected Journeyman who was a big supporter of his beloved Canucks and B.C. Lions.
His family has advised there will not be a funeral and donations in memory of John can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation.

Local 110 is sad to announce the passing of Brother (Joseph) Paul Desjarlais.
As announced by blast email on December 24, 2013, Local 110 officers and staff are sad to announce the passing of Brother (Joseph) Paul Desjarlais on Friday, December 20, 2013, age 71. Paul became a member of Local 110 in September of 2003. He worked for several contractors such as Pro Insul, Reppsco and Jacobs. For any members that had the privilege of working with Paul, you will remember the smile and good humour that made him great to work with. Family has advised that there will not be a funeral.
On behalf of all Local 110 members, I extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to Paul’s family and large circle of friends.

Local 110 is sad to announce the passing of long time member Brother Norbert (Bert) Derrien.
Brother Bert passed away Saturday morning after a courageous battle with Asbestosis, Bert was a long time member of Local 110 and worked for Dewar for as long as I can remember. He will be remembered by his Brothers and Sisters for his hard work ethics, his sense of humor and conviction to change what he thought was not right. I visited him Friday evening just to pay my respects and speak with his family, Brother Bert had a lot of plans for travel that were cut short by the insidious disease asbestosis that we need to find a cure for so this will not continue to plague our Industry and tear apart our families.
Norbert Derrien will be cremated this week with no service, but a celebration of his life will be held later and details released as we receive them.

Local 110 is sad to announce member Brother Jeffery Way passed away.
“ Local 110 is sad to announce the sudden passing of Brother Jeffrey Way on November 11, 2013 passed away suddenly on November 11, 2013 at the age of 42. Jeff was survived by his three sons Tyson, Justin and Shane Way (all in Ontario) and his dad John Way (BlackFalds Alberta.) He is also remembered by many friends and co-workers.
Jeff was born in Smith Falls, Ontario on May 26, 1971. He spent most of his life in Calgary, Alberta but had lived all over Alberta and spent some time in Ontario. He became a member of Local 110 Int’l Assoc. of Heat & Frost Insulators & Asbestos Workers in 1992, then transferred to Local 95, then came back to Local 110 in 2008.
A funeral service will be held in Ontario. He will then be cremated.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Local 110 is sad to announce long time member Brother Pat O’Connor passed away.
Local 110 is sad to announce long time member Patrick “Pat” O’Connor passed away Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the age of 71. Pat was a member of Local 110 for 38 years. Pat came to us from Govan, Scotland, with two of his good friends, Tom McCrimmon (deceased) and Jim Law, and worked for many years for J K Campbell and Dewar Western. I’m sure many of you enjoyed working alongside Pat for many years, with his dry sense of humour and bad jokes.
At the request of his family, a private funeral will be held. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.

Local 110 is sad to announce the passing of Brother Gordon Lafferty.
Local 110 received sad news today. Brother Gordon Lafferty passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013, age 65. Gord became a member of Local 110 in December of 1998. He worked for several contractors such as Aluma, Park Derochie and Tracer, and was most recently employed by Fuller Austin at Sundance. For any members that had the privilege of working with Gord, you will remember the smile and good humour that made him great to work with, he was always proud of his boys and their journey in football which led to coaching. Gord was a great family man and a great Union Brother and he will be missed.
The funeral will be held Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 10:00 am at Howard & McBride Westlawn Chapel, 16310 – Stony Plain Road, Edmonton. On behalf of all Local 110 members, I extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to Gord’s family and large circle of friends.
We have learned that in lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Gordon Lafferty Memorial Football Scholarship, set up in honour of Brother Gord. Local 110 sad to announce the passing of Brother Mackenzie Heinzlmeir.
Local 110 just learned Brother Mackenzie Heinzlmeir passed away suddenly at the age of 23. Mackenzie, a first year member who joined Local 110 in February of this year, was living in Fort McMurray and had worked for Jacobs. The service takes place Saturday, October 26, 2013, 1 pm at the Main Street Chapel (1504 Main Street South), Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Airdrie. A luncheon will follow this service. On behalf of all Local 110 Members, Officers and Staff, I extend our deep sympathy and condolences to Brother Mackenzie’s family and friends.

Local 110 is sad to announce, that Brother Dominic Brennan passed away.
Brother Dominic passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the age of 53. Brother Dominic became a member of Local 110 in September 1984. He worked with various contractors over the years and settled in with Fuller Austin in 2009. Dominic will be sadly missed by all of his Union Brothers and Sisters.
There will be a viewing at 9:00 am with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 am on Saturday July 20, 2013, at the Sturgeon Alliance Church, 4910 – 52 Street in Gibbons, Alberta.

Local 110 sad to announce Brother William Woodridge passed away.
Brother William Woodridge passed away this morning after fighting cancer for a number of years. Brother William, a longtime member of Local 110, was cremated with no service. Condolences and prayers to Brother William’s family and friends, from all of us at Local 110.

Local 110 sad to announce Brother Art Loude passed away.
Brother Art Loude passed away peacefully on May 10th at the age of 60. Brother Art was a long time union member, who shared his knowledge, humour and passion for life with everyone who worked through Local 110. There will not be a funeral. Local 110 sad to announce the passing of Brother Wayne Romans.
Local 110’s officers and staff are sad to announce the passing of Brother Wayne Romans. Wayne passed away on April 30th in Halifax at the age of 72, not long after leaving his job in Fort McMurray. He was a long time union brother, having belonged to both Local 110 and Local 116. Many of you may know him not only from work but from his many other accomplishments in sports, community efforts and as a volunteer firefighter. Unfortunately, we only just received the details and the service for Wayne was held in Nova Scotia on Saturday, May 4th. Our “in memory” notice will publish in the Edmonton Journal and Sun on Wednesday, May 8th. On behalf of all Local 110 members, I extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to Brother Wayne’s family and large circle of friends.

Local 110 has just learned long time member David Beck passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the age of 67.
He was living in New Sarepta and had taken a withdrawl card a year ago after completing his last job through Local 110 with Book at the Shell Scotford Refinery in 2009. The funeral service is Thursday, May 9, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 10129 Princess Elizabeth Avenue, Edmonton. Wilfred was a recent member of Local 110 and impressed everyone with his drive to learn and to share his knowledge. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Local 110’s Officers and staff are sad to announce the passing of Brother Fred Stewart on the evening of April 24, 2013.
Fred was a long time member of Local 110 and influenced a lot of his fellow members in the 36 years of affiliation and will be greatly missed by his Brother’s and Sister’s. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, April 30 from 6:00-8:00pm at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. The funeral will be Wednesday, May 1st at 1:00pm at Bethel Lutheran Church, 298 Bethel Drive, Sherwood Park. Local 110 is sad to announce we just learned Brother Allan Brown passed away Thursday, April 18 2013 at the age of 58.
He transferred into Local 110 from Local 95 in October of 2002. He worked at many sites, mostly in the Fort McMurray area, while our member. Cremation has taken place. The memorial service to celebrate his life is being held at 1 pm on Friday May 10, 2013, at the Crestmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue E, Hamilton, Ontario. All of us at Local 110 offer deep condolences and prayers to Brother Allan’s family and friends.
